Muirkirk Community News is a newsheet published fortnightly by Muirkirk Community Association for almost four decades.
4th October 2016 saw the publication of the 1000th issue of Muirkirk Community News.
The newsheet brought news from and about the village, information about forthcoming events, comment on issues affecting the village and those who live here and an advertising outlet for business in the village or offering services to the people of Muirkirk.
In the 1000th issue came the news that this would be the last issue of the Community News in its present form. But if anyone has articles they would like to see published they can still submit them by e-mail to JPCurrie@aol.com or by telephone on 01290 661324 and they will be forwarded to the Cumnock Chronicle and Ayrshire Post.
