Dorothy Hughes from Australia would appreciate any help that can be given regarding her great-great-grandfather William Wyllie born c1828, married in 1850 in Muirkirk to Ann Meggert Cranston.

Ann Meggart Cranston was born in 1829 in Muirkirk.

William and Ann migrated to South Australia 1853 on "Magdelena".

Dorothy can trace Ann's family but has asolutely no idea of William's background. William died at the Horsham hospital in Victoria, Australia in 1886. The hospital staff filled in his death certificate with "parents unknown".
